CMVA honors DJ Luke Nasty with the "I Am Carolina Hip Hop Award". Leterrance Davis, better known as DJLuke Nasty, was born in High Point, North Carolina. Luke has been making music since he was 15 years old and in high school, joined the 336 Boyz, a four-man crew influenced by Atlanta Snap music like Dem Franchize Boyz and D4L.

CMVA inducts Brian Robinson better known as "Mr. Incognito" into our Hall of Fame class of 2018. Brian has played a major role in radio, he has over 2 decades of experience in radio and has continued to support local artists in their movement. Brian has shown that hard work pays off and as of this year, he has been named the assistant Program Director of Power 98 FM located in Charlotte, NC.
